Being back in the old Peterbilt, I decided to make some new chrome purchases last week. Well first of all I added the new chrome roosters to my mud flaps, something I used to have way back at Navajo. Kind of goes with my name, Rooster, and symbolizes the whole 'chicken hauler' thing I've always been in to. Which reminds me, I also added a new coffee cup to my truck, which I picked up over at cafepress.com.
But back to the to the main story, I stopped at Iowa80 and I finally made the big purchase I've always wanted to, a new steering wheel! I don't know why I've never picked one up before, for only $225 for the wheel and adapter kit, not that a big of a deal compared to all the other thousands of dollars worth of chrome I've bought throughout my career. Then I also replaced some more dash chrome, all of which I already HAD for this truck before, until I decided one day I didn't like it and I got rid of it.
Now I decided I like it again, so I had to get it. That's typical for me. I remember at Navajo spending over $400 on dash chrome for a T660 , then after a short time I decided I just didn't like the way it looked and I got rid of it. Probably because I bought the cheap, fake plastic kind that was all stick on adhesive. I just thought it looked to cheap.
But anyway, here's where I'm at now, I like it and I think I'll keep it around this time.
